For someone who loves food, dieting is horrible. My family likes to cook and eat together, it is a social element of your life. It makes me wonder about people who get stomach reductions to lose weight. Eating is very much a habit and for many a comfort mechanism. How do you get someone who is unable to follow a normal diet to follow a restrictive post-surgical diet? For a person whose stomach is now the size of an egg, how do you force yourself into a new perspective for portion size. I wonder if their are studies on the prospective portion size of stomach reductions patients and complications post surgery.
