Why is it that science seems to be such a hard field for women to excel in? At the college I attend I have had two female science teacher and one female teaching aid. Every other teacher is male. The only other area I have had female teachers are in Math and Psychology. Most of the classes I have registered for seem to have male teachers (going by names). Those subjects that do have several female teachers are English, Music, educational (teaching) classes, and Art.
Witnessed by FemaleScienceProfessor in her blog. http://science-professor.blogspot.com/ It is a wonderful blog full of comments about recent events at her college and in her classes and life. As well as speculations about the management, women, and the world.
Also check out ScienceWoman, a blogger science college teacher who is also a mom. http://www.scienceblogs.com/sciencewoman/index.php?page=2 Just recently found this site but it is looking promising.
