I have been trying to decide how to budget my spending and the one thing that trips me up is books and groceries. I am trying to decide how much I should be trying to spend a month. In this article two people tried to live on one dollar a day and others on three. The person on a dollar a day complained of no fresh food and lack of energy. While the person on three dollars complained of the monotony of the food. http://www.nytimes.com/2008/11/04/health/nutrition/04well.html?_r=1&oref=slogin
Three dollars a day is ninety dollars a month. I was thinking of allotting one hundred dollars a month for food, if I keep a running tally of my expenses, counting when I eat out and such. I will have to try it and see how it goes.
