Find a Place you Trust

RULE ONE: Find a place you trust, and then try trusting it for awhile.

I think this is my issue with my new town. I have no place I am truly comfortable in yet. I spent ten years working at various jobs in my last hospital I worked at. I knew all the people, all the floors, where everything was. It was the same with my home town. I had always been there, I knew where every street went and which areas were safe or not.

Now, I have been working in my new town for almost a year, I have been living here for almost 6 months. Yet, there is no where I am perfecty comfortable to wander around or drive to. There is no location where I am completely relaxed. Even in my rental house, it is not mine and I am not allowed to hang picutures, so the art that has always covered every wall I have is absent.

How do you learn to be comfortable in a new space?

I just got back from the only Genre Fiction writing conference in the Southeastern United States. I had an amazing time and cannot wait for next year. I have a ton of notes and books to read and learn

I am horribly behind on everything at the moment. In the next few weeks I hope to start posting book reviews and lists of what I have read each month. You can find me on GoodReads if you would like to
