Community
My favorite community I have discovered in the last year has to be Google Buzz. We have intelligent people who are willing to discuss issues and share information. We have grown into a caring community that supports each other when issues arise. Who could ask for more?
This was the year that I lost the writer’s group I had been a member of. A younger member went off on the group publication and several other members went off in response. I made a comment saying we need to table the discussion and got chewed out in response. I cut off the group for a while to see if I would even miss it after that and sadly the response was no. I have stayed active on goodreads, the site hosting the group, but have not been following the group. They have lost the motivation, drive, and sense of family that drew me to them in the first place.
Google Buzz still has this feeling and I hope they do not lose it. I am fairly sure I would miss the people I speak to everyday and the exchange of thoughts and realities that we share.
