Beautifully Different

Beautifully Different. Think about what makes you different and what you do that lights people up. Reflect on all the things that make you different – you’ll find they’re what make you beautiful.

This is one I am going to have to think on more. I was never the beauty in my family. I was the tom boy, the girl who was the one who should have been a boy for my dad. I was the one who climbed trees, used pocket knives, loved working with my hands, and riding horses.

I have been told that when I talk about horses or book that my whole face lights up. That I have a wonderful laugh and very sarcastic and dry sense of humor that even my elementary teachers commented on.

I am a bit of a loner and feel exhausted after a full day of having to be around people 24/7. I loved working at the barn because of the mornings alone with the radio and the horses.

I have been told I am too agreeable but I think it is just I do not see the point in arguing with others. The popular, pretty ones always win anyway. I saw it all the time is school. The smart kids are not chosen for anything. The popular kids are picked even if they did not volunteer for the event. Arguing with people simply takes energy that I could be using somewhere else. Most of the time the argument is over some object that the other person wants. I say let them have it. It is an object. Period. I do not need objects. I need friends and family, my dog, and memories of happy vacations and good times spent with friends, not objects.

(I have the knife in the picture LOL)
